Got to church early today for some discipleship training. It was really enriching. Learnt about fellowship today and had many verses to study. Even though its just summarizing the verses, we got a chance to learn God's Word together. Yup...After that, Yf went for NTM seminar except jaime, studying la. ya...We cabbed there. Shared cab with daniel and candice. On the way there, we got into a jam along PIE. I saw thick black smoke emerging from just a distance and the next thing i heard was the cab driver saying, "che pok zha" (if you don't know what that means, its 'car explode' in hokkien)...then i realise it was really serious. The next thought that came to mind was whether the driver is safe. As we got closer and closer to the wreak, i just saw a van cover in flames. Literally cover in flames, there was fire ever corner of the van. As the cab past the van, i could feel the intense heat; even though i was inside with air-con. The heat waves could still travel in. Thats when i realised that the driver couldn't possibly survived that ordeal. When we reached the church, darrell and i went out looking for food and we couldn't find any kopitiam, just settled with mama shop. I have to say the praise and worship is very different. All i can say is its very like hillsong...and i noticed some people waving their hands too. Aiyo...darrell and i looked at each other with super stunned faces. haa...and all i said was WOW! Its like live and exclusive hillsongs, just that its singapore version. Anyway the workshop was good. Went for 2. First was about culture & language acquisition..the speaker was very technical and some of the stuff i couldn't understand. But he taught us to learn the tribal's culture and language, staying with them for 2plus years. And when you are able to speak fluent languages of theirs, then you can teach God's Word to them. yupp Second one was about what makes up a mature church. The speaker was very good, i could understand very well and he tells jokes. But because of time constrain, he was going very fast and i couldn't catch all the slides he showed...however he gave out notes and i shall read them and share with you another time. After the seminar, sis charissa sent jasmine, candice, grace, alex and i to JEC; darrell, keith, kevin and daniel took cab. And i thank God i was in the car cause there was alot of spiritual enlightenment...haha we discussed about the worship, songs and other stuff..and compared them to ours. There is a huge gap...i'm really thankful that i'm in the church that practices and sings songs that have focus on God and not me, myself and i. Praise the Lord!!! Dinner-ed at KFC, twins went home to study, darrell and lydia went out, grace went home and the rest went to play pool. haha....yup and thats about it i think..tmr have soccer; fellowship.. haha and bible study after that???? hahha.. yup..shall end here.
