Sister's Appreciation Night!

Before i start my post on Sister's Appreciation Night(SAN), let me continue what i left off yesterday. Josiah and i went IKEA to shop for deco and gifts for the sisters. And we really spent alot of time there. Shop from 5plus to 10 ah...haha buy and plan at the same time. Anyway, i wanted to share about how God played a huge role while we were shopping. We wanted to get photo frames but somehow, the frame section didn't have the type of frames we wanted and we really wreaked our heads, almost tore our hair off. So we went elsewhere to shop for other deco before coming back to think. Josiah had an idea of fake flowers in a vase with plastic and water in it to give an ice effect. What a good idea! haha so went happy took 6 stalks of flowers, each $3.90...After getting the vases and the candles(counting and trying to save as much as we can), went back to the frame section to destroy our heads again. But we decided to go to the upper floor to take a look. And we found the frame that we were looking for! THANK GOD!!! so we checked with the staff and they told us to find near the counters. Praise GOD!!! we found so many designs and colours of frames. Got the frames and went to pay and we counted and thought the price was $83plus. BUT WE ENDED UP WITH $119!!!!! checked the prices and found out the flowers cost $8.90 each!!! So we still had to wreak our brains to take which item out. But Thank God for the 2 lovely lady counters who suggested to take out 3 stalks of flowers and split the remaining stalks into 6 which saved us $24. SO ALL PRAISE TO GOD!
ok now back to the story of SAN. Had discipleship training till quite late so we had not much time left to prepare SAN. But thank God for seeing us through even though we kinda delayed the dinner for some time. Thank God for the sisters who were so kind and patient. The guys were rushing like mad both in the kitchen and those not in the kitchen. Josiah, youren and i were really 'chionging' to finish the gifts and deco. Set up the table with deco and it came out to be how it wanted it to. Became really nice in the night, with all the candles. We tried to make the place as bright and as cozy as we can. You know ah, guys la...not very good in art and design. Thank God for youren for giving many many great ideas which we mainly used. Thats the preparation..now on the actual thing. I was kinda nervous about how it'll turn out but i guess God calmed me down. We started really late, cause the guys were rushing, but it was overall good. To tell you the truth, i'm really impressed with what we have done...giving that we only started planning last thursday. SSSHHHH! Praise God. I hope the food was good cause i was not part of the kitchen crew and i also what it tasted like. Kitchen crew were keith, kevin, alex, nelson, darrell and justin. I guess the appreciation part was not bad, using race as a theme. Thank God for seeing us through the whole worship and appreciation part. I guess it was quite successful as a whole....hope the ladies felt the appreciation the guys have for you. Hope this day will be a memorable one and always remember the guys have set a goal to keep praying for you. I guess i shall stop now, tmr got to be in church at 8am. wow wee!!!!!! duno can wake up anot or like today, woke up at 10am when the training started at 10am. aiyo...
Jaime and Yvonne(A'lvl), Justin(A'lvl), Rachel(Alvl) [less than 1 month to A'levels], Jolynn, Mag and Nat(Olvl) [O'levels]. Pray for the Sunday School Camp committee, there's been many changes and it's stressing everybody out. Pray for God's strength and time management even as they plan. Pray for Elder soo; lung cancer. He is having chemo now. Pray for him that God's will be done and that He'll lay His healing hands upon Elder soo. Pray for Auntie Elsie too. Pray for Youren and his dad that God will sustain them. Pray for Auntie Christine and Mrs Judy Chan. Pray for me that as school is starting now, pray that i'll continue to draw closer to Him and also spend enough time studying. Have to chiong my maths cause i have 2 maths modules, one core one elective. Pray for gwyneth as she flies to thailand next week. Pray for safe trip and enjoyment there. Pray for her as she may be stuck in the airport for a day as something cropped up in thailand and the person supposed to fetch her from the airport's gonna be late. Pray for her also as she goes for her checkup on thursday, that everything will be ok.
